An interactive teen driving workshop
Motor vehicle crashes are the No. 1 cause of death among U.S. teens.1 Additionally, teen drivers have crash rates 3 times higher per mile driven than drivers age 20 and older.2 Education can help prevent such teen driving deaths and injuries. AAA Texas is committed to helping teens and parents navigate the learning-to-drive process by providing the critical information they need to know before teens take the wheel. This free interactive workshop, which pre-permit teens can attend alone or with their parents, provides resources and walks through many important driving topics, including:
- Common risks associated with teen drivers
- Driver restrictions and requirements for the three phases of licensure
- What to look for in a driving school
- Recommended cars for teen drivers
- State insurance requirements for teen drivers
- AAA Foundation on Traffic Safety research on teen driving habits
Registration is required, and due to program popularity, we ask that you register at your earliest convenience. If the workshop you register for is at capacity, we will notify you of alternative workshops you can attend.
After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a virtual webinar link to join. Class schedules are subject to change.
